Anne Celeste Heche was an American actress known for her performances in a variety of types of film, television and theatre. Her awards include the Daytime Emmy Award, a National Board of Review Award as well as many other awards. Carpenter has claimed that he was interested in her however she decided to decline. Anne can't remember John Carpenter having contacted her and offering the position. Her agent might have turned down the opportunity for her, but not even known. Glen Larson, who had given her the initial draft of the script for a role in the tv show Battlestar Galactica from 1978, initially chose her. Initially, she rejected the character because it seemed too weak. Glen then wrote a script to her, which featured an extremely strong character named Sheba. The Living Legend was accepted after she read the first 25-page script. It ran for a single season. She starred with Desi Arnaz Jr. (son of Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball) Melanie Griffith and Robert Carradine in the film Joyride (1977) and also co-starred along with Michael Moriarty in the horror film The Dark Tower (1987).
